Since more than 60 years, the Espelkamp headquartered, family owned and managed company HARTING has been successfully engaged in training activities for trade/technical and commercial vocations.

This year, the quality of training at the HARTING Technology Group has once again born fruit. In awarding the best trainees, the WAGO Foundation acknowledged two HARTING trainees who took the top positions in their vocational category.

Every year, the WAGO Foundation awards the three best trainees from a number of different professions. The results of the final exams of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce or the Chamber of Trade form the foundation for the assessment. Excellent test results in a training company in the district of Minden-Lübbecke or the Kyffhäuser district are a precondition for consideration by the WAGO Foundation. This year, a total of 30 former trainees were awarded for their achievements.

The former HARTING trainee Willi Schmidt took first place among the process mechanics for plastic and rubber technology. Willi Schmidt concluded his training at the HARTING Technology Group in June 2008. Since then, he has been active as a set-up specialist in the plastics paint shop at HARTING Electric. Alexander Schröder, who passed his final tests in January 2008, was happy to take third place in the vocational group of millers. According to the skills and know-how acquired, he is also active at HARTING Electric in the turning shop.

Training manager Nico Gottlieb, the two training officers Martin Pessara and Klaus Witte, as well as the trainer Hans-Georg Penning took part in the happy event along with their “ex-trainees“ who were awarded prize money of EUR 1000 and EUR 500 respectively.
