HARTING Supply Chain

HARTING Technology Group's supply chain experts, from all corners of the globe, in front of the Botta building in Minden.

"Pushing the Performance of the Supply Chain“ –was the motto of the event which brought some 50 HARTING employees from far and near to the Botta building in Minden.

Representing the areas of IT, warehousing, distribution, customer service, planning and scheduling and procurement, our experts had traveled to the meeting from 20 different countries. The focus of the event was on supply chain optimization, in other words, enhancing the coordination of complex supply processes extending from suppliers all the way through to our customers.

The supply chain experts discussed projects and measures that they had already concluded, as well as future activities on their agendas. The annual meeting took place for the fifth time in Germany. The three day event was held in Minden for the first time, however, instead of at the headquarters of the HARTING Technology Group in Espelkamp. "The responsible employees take this opportunity to attend talks and workshops, as well as engaging in round table discussions with external partners," explained Achim Meyer, General Manager Logistics and Materials. "We not only discuss the improvement of in-house processes, but also the situation on international markets, in addition to particular cultural aspects that must be factored in when considering supply chain issues."

True to the motto of the event, the participants are committed to advancing process efficiency. But the common spirit joining our employees across the globe was also a key aspect on the agenda. An evening guided tour of Minden and its historical sights was thoroughly enjoyed by all participants.
